About Us

The impact of the growing digital industry in the North East of England has led to the development of the North East Digital Awards 2007, designed to recognise and celebrate digital advancement within the region in a unique and practical way.

Funded by regional development agency One NorthEast (ONE) and developed by The North East Regional Portal (TNERP) head of e-business Pascal Fintoni, the Digital Awards will showcase the best of the region's talent, and will help inspire those who haven't yet joined the digital age to embrace the significant opportunities it offers.

The awards not only to celebrate the winners but reward all who are shortlisted by offering invaluable exposure on our website (www.northeastdigitalawards.co.uk).

There are three broad categories for inclusion: Digital Users, Digital Suppliers and Digital Innovators, and with each of these categories further subdivided, there are over 30 differing awards for which a business can be short listed.

This website is an interactive forum and social community for both visitors and those businesses registered with the programme. Once short listed, organisations will be able to update and maintain their own pages, through uploading images and linking the pages to their own website for example.

So forget the stereotype of the formal, stuffy award ceremony (although we may yet culminate with something of that nature!), The North East Digital Awards 2007 celebrate digital innovation within the region, acting as a legacy to those businesses who have embraced the digital technologies available as well as the benefits that they can bring.
